It has somethhing to do with the 30-pin connector that enables the iPod nano to charge via 3rd party accessories.
Does the 5G nano have this problem?
I have a Logitech mm50 speaker and I use it to charge my 2G nano, and this is the same speaker I’m gonna be using with the 5G nano.

i’ve had my ipod for over a year and i’m afraid if i keep using it like this it wont last much longer, and i just got these speakers which were $50 and i cant afford a new ipod rite now.
how do i play it and keep it from charging?
how bad is it for my ipod, will it not matter that much?
